As Senior Manager Strategic Partnerships & Category Management (Rx Pharmaceuticals), you will play a critical role in managing and building the strongly growing Rx product segment in the German market. You will acquire new partners, negotiate contracts, manage a diverse partner portfolio, and drive commercial success through strategic category management and operational implementation of initiatives, e.g. ensuring Rx product availability.

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic partner relationship management: Build new and strong, lasting relationships with partners, mainly pharma manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, next to potential further stakeholders, creating measurable business impact
  • Rx category ownership: Manage key product categories end-to-end, defining and executing Rx category strategy
  • Negotiation: Negotiate and establish valuable partnerships, including (intra-) yearly negotiations with Pharma partners in the Rx segment
  • Availability management: Collaborate with partners to ensure optimal product availability as a differentiator, implementing strategic initiatives
  • Performance tracking, KPI-based steering, market screening: Leverage data-driven insights to optimize partnership performance, efficiency and mutual outcomes
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as Operational procurement, Supply Chain, Market Access teams to define and successfully implement strategies
  • Strategy and execution: Drive key strategic initiatives and innovation end-to-end from concept towards successful implementation, hands-on

What we’re looking for

  • Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in consulting, purchasing, or category mgmt., preferably in e-commerce/ retail and in the healthcare segment
  • Strategic vision: A strong record of driving strategic initiatives, implementing new concepts, acting based on analytical insights, and aligning business goals with (supplier) partnerships
  • Leadership & initiative: A self-starter with a proactive attitude, capable of taking full responsibility for the success of assigned initiatives, not shying away from operational implementation; strong entrepreneurial thinking and high customer orientation
  • Negotiation Expertise: Proven experience in leading negotiations with partners
  • Team player: Used to working together in cross-functional teams and driving results together across departments
  • Analytical mindset: Data-driven decision-making skills
  • Studies: Completed studies in business administration, economics, health economics or a natural science degree related to healthcare
  • Network: Ideally a network in the healthcare sector and good knowledge of the German healthcare and pharmaceutical market
  • Presentation skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Languages: Fluency in both German and English
