Digital support reimagined

A look at the Chronic Care Team

Many people live with chronic conditions, which often come with uncertainties, questions, decisions, and the need for reliable guidance. That’s where the DocMorris Chronic Care Team steps in. The interdisciplinary team, consisting of product management, partner management, analytics, as well as content and marketing, develops and links digital offerings, presents complex content in an understandable way, and supports patients with all questions relating to their condition.

The focus of their work is to provide tangible relief to people with chronic illnesses in their everyday lives and to accompany them in the long term.

"In plain language, this means that we offer chronically ill patients and their relatives everything they need to organize their lives well with their condition.", Sebastian explains.

Sebastian, Head of Chronic Care Solutions, fills in: "This starts with relevant and trustworthy information that is easy to understand and includes digital services such as symptom checks, therapy and self-tests, as well as connections to specialist medical networks, telemedicine consultations, and care options. Everything in one place, organized and easily accessible in the DocMorris guide."

A digital companion: The DocMorris guide

The DocMorris guide is at the heart of our work in the chronic care sector. As a central platform, it brings together a wide range of information on various health topics and focuses specifically on chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, and asthma.

The team defines key areas and continuously prepares content for this digital hub for people seeking information, services, and low-threshold tests related to their condition. To achieve this, medically complex content is presented in an understandable way, and digital checks are developed, among other things, to enable an initial assessment of whether certain forms of therapy might be suitable. Depending on the topic, users will also find references to additional services, such as self-help groups.

The team develops digital patient journeys that guide people step by step to suitable solutions.

Actively shaping digital developments

"The most important thing for the team is that their work helps people with chronic conditions. That's why it's so important to us that our work focuses on patients, because that's the only way we can create tangible added value for our target groups", says Sebastian.

At the same time, digitalization is noticeably changing health behavior. E-prescriptions and electronic health records play a key role in this and open up new opportunities to optimize care and connecting offers and services. "Our aim here is to play an innovative role in shaping the future", he adds.

Alexander, Senior Key Account Manager, adds: "Digital support can make it much easier for people with chronic conditions to access reliable information, prevention measures, and appropriate next steps. To create helpful and relevant offerings, we work with many partners in our field."

"These include pharmaceutical companies, self-help organizations, health apps, and DiGA (digital health applications) providers. "AI tools help us develop concepts quickly and efficiently. Before they become concrete offerings, they undergo our internal interdisciplinary review, both pharmaceutical and legal", he completes.

Team culture that enables innovation

The fact that the collaboration works so well is mainly due to the culture: open, hands-on, collaborative, and agile. "Every perspective and expertise is taken seriously and included", says Sebastian and completes: "We try things out, learn quickly, adopt what works well, and talk openly about what we need to improve."

This way of working encourages innovation, creates space for personal responsibility, and ensures that ideas are quickly put into practice. As a result, every person in the team can make a noticeable impact.

Jana, Senior Manager Strategic Projects & Partnerships, sums it up as follows: "Our team spirit thrives on reliability, openness, and mutual support. We value different perspectives, work closely together across locations, and strengthen our connection through regular exchanges and joint team events."

A yearly highlight is the DocMorris Partner Day. This networking event brings together several hundred partners from the healthcare sector, with a clear focus on e-commerce and digital healthcare solutions. “It's a day full of new impulses and inspiration, where you can see how much of an impact the team's work has on the industry. That creates momentum and motivates the whole team,” says Jana.

Why you should become part of the team

Those who work in the Chronic Care Team not only design digital products, but also solutions that directly improve the lives of many people, especially those with chronic conditions.

Or as Sebastian puts it: "We work on healthcare offerings that deliver real added value. That is the result of passion, innovation, and strong partnerships."
